1. Information we collect

We collect only what the directory needs to work: your name and mobile number for sign-in; the profile details you enter (address, native place, contact); your business or professional listing (name, category, address, hours, photos, contact numbers); and basic device information such as app version and operating system to diagnose crashes.

2. How we use it

• To show your listing and profile to approved members of your samaj.
• To let the samaj admin verify membership and approve or reject submissions.
• To send notifications about events, announcements and job replies.
• To keep the directory accurate, and to investigate reports of misuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. Promotions in the app come only from approved member businesses of your samaj; they are labelled "Sponsored" and are never targeted using your personal profile.

3. Who can see your listing

Business listings are visible to signed-in members of your samaj once the samaj admin approves them. Contact details in your member profile are visible only to approved members, and you can mark individual fields as private. Admin and committee members can see submissions pending their approval.

4. Permissions on your device

• Location — optional, used only to sort businesses by distance. Search works without it.
• Camera & photos — to upload listing photos and your profile picture.
• Contacts — never read; the app only hands a number to your dialler or WhatsApp when you tap call.
• Notifications — for event and approval reminders. You can turn categories off in Settings.

5. Data retention

Your profile and listings are kept while your membership is active. If you delete your account we remove your profile and listings within 30 days.

6. Your choices

From Settings you can edit or hide profile fields, unpublish a listing, mute notification categories, export a copy of your data, or request account deletion. You may also write to [email protected] and we will act within 30 days.

7. Children

JainSphere is intended for adults. Accounts are created and managed by adult samaj members only.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make a material change we will notify you in the app before it takes effect and update the date above.
